Things to Bring:
Please bring any glasses or contact lenses that you currently are using.
Contact lens wearers: Please bring your current prescription (i.e. foil covers, boxes, an unopened pair, etc… Pictures also work!) Try to bring your contact lens case and any solutions that you are currently using (again, pictures work almost as well)
Please bring a medication list, including any OTC, vitamins or supplements you are taking.
Please bring any insurance cards. (Many of our services are covered under a medical insurance)
If you haven’t registered online, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the electronic intake forms. Bring a medication list, medical history, and any family eye or medical problems.
Please bring a list of any questions/concerns you may have.
If you get cold easily, you may desire a light coat or sweater.
If you have smaller children, we have a children’s area where they can watch DVD’s, read a book, or play with some of our toys or bring their own.
Approximate Exam Times:
To help plan your day, we offer the following approximate exam times for some of our more popular exam types. If you were unable to complete the patient registration online, please allow an additional 30-40 minutes to enter the data.
- Comprehensive Eye Exam- 45 minutes to 1 hour
- Contact Lens Exam- 1hour to 1 ½ hours
- Contact Lens Check- 15-30 minutes
- Specialty Contact Lens Exam- up to 2 hours
- Dilation- 45 minutes to 1 hour
- Contact Lens Training- 30 minutes per session.
- Emergency visits- Varies
Please keep in mind that Dr. Yang loves to “show off.” This means that while he will answer all of your questions, you may be forced to endure his many stories and “analogies.” If you are in a time crunch, it is not considered rude to “let him know.”
